Winifred V. Richardson

Winifred V. "Wini" (Cromwell) Richardson, 102, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home after a period of failing health. Born in Norwell, she was raised and educated in Sharon and was a graduate of Sharon High School. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 35 years. Mrs. Richardson worked as an insurance clerk for Factory Mutual Global in Norwood for over 22 years, retiring over 40 years ago. A lover of jazz music, in her free time, she enjoyed knitting and reading.
She is survived by her children, Wendy W. Richardson of Brockton, Mildred V. Richardson of Millbury, Barry B. Richardson of AK and Bruce A. Richardson, Sr. and his wife Dorothy of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of William "Gus" Bembery, Daniel Bembery, Bruce A. Richarson, Jr. and Jeffrey W. Richardson. She was the great-grandmother of Alana J. Richardson, Jaylon J. Richardson and Jonah R. Richardson. Mrs. Richardson was raised by Solomon and Florence Desmond and was the sister of Susan Holmes of NJ and the late Carolyn Wolfgang and Grace Desmond.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Stoughton.
