Winifred M. "Freddie" (Roche) Johnson, 68, died Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after a long period of declining health. Born in Stoughton, one of seven sisters, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a 1971 graduate of Stoughton High School. In 1973, she married Paul C. Johnson, and together they spent over 48 years of marriage and raised three beloved children. They moved to Avon in 1994. Freddie worked as a Secretary at Stoughton High School for almost 20 years, retiring in 2014. She loved spending time with her family and her sisters, and looked forward to their Hampton Beach vacations in July, and her "Sisters Weekend" every October. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the lottery, scratch tickets and Keno, and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her children, Patricia A. Csakan of Avon, Jessica Couto and her husband Nelson of Taunton and Paul C. Johnson, Jr. and his wife Angela of Stoughton. Freddie was the beloved grandma of Kyle and Tyler Csakan, Blake, Alina and Travis Couto. She was the sister of Bea Doyle, Kathy Carroll and Mary Martin, all of Stoughton, Betty Wagner of Palmer, Pat Sutlive of GA and the late Fran Bonnayer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Freddie's Life to be held in the Randolph Lodge of Elks Hall, 21 School St., Randolph on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 1-5 PM. Donations in Freddie's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101a 1st Ave Ste 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
