William D. Regan, 85, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Kindred Blue Hills Alzheimers Care Center in Stoughton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Marie F. (Fleming) Regan. Born in East Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Tech. A Veteran of the US Navy Reserves, Mr. Regan was a longtime resident of Braintree. He worked for Pitney Bowes in Waltham for over 43 years as copier repairman and retired in 1990. He was a member of the Pitney Bowes Oval Club. Mr. Regan was an avid train collector who enjoyed woodworking and electronics, dancing and photography.
He is survived by his two children; William J. Regan and his life partner Charles Antzak of Chelsea and Patricia M. Geoghegan and her husband Thomas of Stoughton. He was the proud grandfather of Mary Geoghegan. He was the brother of Edward Regan of Quincy and the late Mary Regan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in his memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 S Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
