William R. Lupica

William R. Lupica, 87, a long time resident of North Easton, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of 60 years of Margaret (Reardon) Lupica. Born in Brockton, son of the late Louise and Joseph Lupica he was a graduate of Brockton High School and Williams Business School. An avid New York Yankees Fan and an accomplished athlete, he had a try out with the Boston Red Sox as an 18 year old. He served in the United States Army Air Corps, 1126th Military Police Company, in the Philippines. He was a faithful employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Division of Employment Security, for 47 years, retiring as the Regional Director of the South Eastern Region of Massachusetts. In his free time, he enjoyed carpentry, gardening, watching sports and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Ann Lupica of Raynham, Lisa Garcea and her husband Francis of Brockton, Jay Lupica of Cohasset, Mary Aiello of Florida, Paul Lupica and his wife Kelly of Worcester and Sara Lupica of North Easton. He was also a brother to Marion Lupica of Middleboro, Emily Merra, Geraldine Condon, Virginia McDonald and George Lupica all of Brockton, and the late Mary Cappiferi, Dominick Lupica, Katherine Markella, Josephine Kelly, Peter Lupica, Nicholas Lupica, Guido Lupica, and Rose Lupica. He was also survived by 12 grandchildren; Kara Mallory, Jenny Garcea, Marc Garcea, Jon Garcea, David Garcea, Jeremiah Lupica, Jake Lupica, Callie Lupica, McKenna Lupica, Krystina Worthy, Joseph Aiello and William P. Lupica. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Aiello. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren Rhiannon Hicks, Kameron Worthy, Mckinley Worthy, and Logan Worthy and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 at 10 AM followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, N. Easton, MA at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM.
