William F. Large

William F. "Billy" Large, 66, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Nash) Large. Born in Dorchester, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. He was also a graduate of Massasoit Community College in Brockton. Mr. Large was a Proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for City Glass and City Glass in Brockton as an installer for several years before moving to Manchester, NH many years ago. Billy was a member of the VFW and Amvets both in Stoughton and the American Legion and Halycin Club both in Londonderry, NH. He spent countless hours devoted to his fellow veterans, raising money and awareness and honoring their sacrifices. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Large was the father of Billie Jean Hallee of New Hampshire, Lisa Revelle of Stoughton and the late Michelle Salamone, Kerrie Large and Jodi Meadows. He was the son of Carol A. Large of Stoughton and the late Patrick B. Large. He was the brother of Susan Large Crowley, Stephen Large, Patrick D. Large and John "Jack" Satkiewicz all of Stoughton, Donna O'Brien of Brockton, Joseph Large of Iowa, Theresa Ibbitson of New York, Patrick T. Large of New Jersey and Evelyn St. Germaine of Bridgewater. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Billy's Life will be held at the VFW Post 1645, 837 Washington St., (Rt. 138) Stoughton on Saturday, January 26 from 1-5 PM. Donations in Billy's memory may be made to any local charity to help veterans. Directions and guestbook at www.farleyfh.com
