William J. DeLuca, 78, a resident of Sharon, died at the Harrington House in Walpole on Monday, July 4. He was the husband of Margaret E. (Sullivan) DeLuca. Born, raised and educated in Hyde Park, he was a resident of Sharon for 15 years after living in Stoughton for several years. Mr. DeLuca served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of the Freaney Corporation in Hyde Park for 30 years before retiring at age 65.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DeLuca is survived by his children, William J. DeLuca, Jr. of CA, Maureen Guarino of Taunton, Deborah Bellas of E. Bridgewater and John M. DeLuca of Brockton. He was the brother of Thomas DeLuca of Foxboro and the late Robert DeLuca. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be private. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, July 7 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in William's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
