William F. Coe, 85, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the home of his son, after a long period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Adella (Kucinskas) Coe. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. He served in the US Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Coe worked as an Electrical Engineer and Radar Specialist for Bethlehem Steel and General Dynamics at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy for many years. He later worked as a consultant for Amsea for many years, retiring in 2011. As a young man, Bill worked for his family's business, Coe's Fish Market in Stoughton. He was a longtime summer resident of Onset Beach and loved spending time at his "happy place" in Onset. He was an avid Boston Sports fan, still cheered for the Boston Braves and also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Mr. Coe enjoyed traveling with his wife for many years. He also enjoyed dining out with his cousins, The Onset Gang and with his friends at ROMEO. He was a dedicated family man and grandfather and loved to attend his granddaughters activities and events.
Bill is survived by his son, John M. Coe and his wife Elizabeth of Lakeville. He was the beloved "Bopah" of Amanda, Lauren, Kathryn and Faith Coe. He was the brother of the late Robert Coe and is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, May 25 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, May 24 from 4-7 PM.
