Warren H. Lincoln, 89, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of 67 years of Gertrude I. (Durkee) Lincoln. Born and raised in Rockland, he attended Rockland Schools. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army and served for over 2 years. During his time in the military, he was stationed in Europe and was a Prisoner of War. He worked for Shawmut Mills in Stoughton for many years and later worked for Solar Seal in Easton. He retired in 1988. He was a member of the VFW in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed music, fishing, camping, playing horseshoes and scratch tickets and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Warren H. Lincoln, Jr. and his wife Jean of Stoughton and Kenneth B. Lincoln of Raynham. He was predeceased by his 14 brothers and sisters and is survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 11, at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-7 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
