Walter H. Weeman, 94, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a short period of declining health. He was the husband of 64 years of the late Sylvia N. (Needre) Weeman. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury and was a graduate of Commerce High in Boston. Mr. Weeman was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a plant manager for ProPack in Brockton and Wareham for many years, retiring several years ago. Along with his wife, Mr. Weeman was extremely family oriented and dedicated to the well being of his family. He was an avid fan of the New England professional sports teams.
He is survived by his son, Keith P. Weeman and his wife Linda of Norton, and his daughter Carole Ann Burgess and her husband Thomas of Newburyport. He was the loving grandfather of Casey Castaneda, Ean Burgess, Alec Weeman and Victoria Weeman. He was predeceased by his sister Frances Bayides and Edward Weeman, Jr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, January 17, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, January 16, from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
