Walter H. "Chuck" Bamberg, Jr., 51, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, April 18. He was the beloved son of Walter H. Bamberg, Sr. and Doris E. (Johnson) Bamberg of Stoughton. Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1977 and was a member of the school band. Mr. Bamberg attended Southeastern Massachusetts University in Dartmouth and earned an Associate Degree in Science from Massasoit Community College. He was handicapped due to strokes. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Stoughton.
Mr. Bamberg was the brother of the late Eric Nils Bamberg. In addition to his parents, he is survived by cousins in Rhode Island.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, April 24 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 8-10 AM. Burial will take place at The Gardens at Gethsemane in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck's name may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
