Virginia L. (Cremin) Polillio, 82, died Thursday, September 29, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James T. Polillio. Born in Hyde Park, she was educated in Canton and a graduate of Canton Schools. Mrs. Polillio was a homemaker and also worked for her husband's construction company, J.P. Polillio Construction. She was a dedicated wife and mother. In her younger years, she owned race horses. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO, greyhound and thoroughbred racing and playing the lottery.
She is survived by her children, Ralph E. Polillio, John P. Polillio and Priscilla A. Polillio all of Stoughton. She was the sister of the late Frances Grish and John Lynch. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John P. Polillio Jr., Susan M. Polillio, Kristen Polillio and Michael F. O'Connell and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Polillio was predeceased by her husband James and her sons, James P. "Patty" Polillio and Michael F. Polillio.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 PM. Donations in Virginia's name may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
