Virginia M. (Morris) Coen, 91, a resident of Hanover, died at South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Rockland on Monday, August 18, 2014. She was the wife of the late Francis R. Coen. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in West Roxbury. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston. Mrs. Coen was a resident of Hanover since 2001 after living in Stoughton for over 40 years. She was a secretary at Emmanuel College for 20 years before retiring many years ago. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Coen is survived by her children, Francis P. Coen and Maureen T. Donahue and her husband Kenneth all of Hanover and Kevin M. Coen and his wife Debra of Pembroke, as well as her grandchildren, Heather, Kimberly, Ashly and Maggie and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mason and Charly Ann. She was the sister of Lillian Morris of Malden and the late James Morris.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, August 21 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Virginia's memory may be made to a special needs charity of your choice.
