Vera Callanan

Vera (Revnoff) Callanan, 93, died Friday, December 18, 2009, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Callanan. Born in Stoughton, she was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton Schools. She worked as a loomer at JW Webb Elastic Web for many years. Many years ago, she also worked at Mickey's Deli in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Joseph M. Callanan and his wife Joanne F. (McStowe) Callanan of Stoughton. She was the grandmother Kevin and Keith Callanan, Kimberly St. Clair and Kristine Carlo. She was predeceased by her brothers Nicholas "Mickey" Revnoff and Alexander Revnoff and her sister Nellie Gibson. She is also survived by her 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, 529 Main Street, Suite 101, Charlestown, MA 02129. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park.
