Tyrone M. Steele

Tyrone M. Steele, 61, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died October 3 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was the husband of Kathy-Marie (Theriault) Steele. Born in Maxton, NC, he was educated in Maxton and Brooklyn, NY schools. He also attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 24 years. Mr. Steele was an Electromechanical Engineer at Teradyne in Boston and N. Reading for 32 years. He was a past recipient of the City of Boston Black Achievement Award. He was a longtime STOYAC basketball coach and enjoyed music, movies and especially spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Steele is survived by his children, Jazmin Irene Steele, Charmaine Steele-Jordan and her husband Nathaniel Jordan and Tymanda Pinckney all of Stoughton. He was the grandfather of Tyaja and Jakiyah Glover and Nathaniel Tyrone Jordan. He was the brother of Fon Maurice Steele of FL, Mattie A. Steele of Boston and the late James L. Steele. He is also survived by his aunt, Doretha Smith of Stoughton and several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 8 at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM.
