Tony M. Techiera, 97, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Brockton Hospital on Sunday, April 2, 2017. He was the husband of the late C. Winifred "Winnie" (Taylor) Techiera. Born in Easton, he was raised in Stoughton and educated in Stoughton schools. He was a lifelong resident of Stoughton before moving to Wade, Cumberland County, NC in 1988. He returned to Stoughton in 2010. Tony was a Technician in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic at Simeone Stone Corporation in Stoughton for many years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the VFW in North Carolina and the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.).
Tony was the father of Phillip A. Techiera of Brockton, Amy E. Ginnetty of Stoughton and the late Cathryn M. Techiera Miller. He was 1 of 10 siblings and is survived by his brother, Joseph Techiera of Easton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, April 6 from 9-9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony's memory may be made to the D.A.V., PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
