Tokiko T. (Sugano) Syrek, 85, a resident of Norton, died peacefully at home on Monday, July 8. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Syrek. Born and educated in Japan, she was a resident of Stoughton for 50 years before moving to Norton over 6 years ago. Mrs. Syrek worked in the accounts payable department at Boch Toyota for several years before retiring at age 62. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed art, painting and gardening. She was a member of the VFW Post 1645 Women's Auxiliary.
Mrs. Syrek is survived by her son, Michael J. Syrek and his wife Rose M. of Norton, as well as her grandsons, Michael J., Matthew J. and Thomas A. Syrek. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Washington St., Stoughton on Saturday, July 20 at 10 AM. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, Stoughton. Donations in Tokiko's memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
