Thomas A. Tray, Sr., a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 25, 2017, a day before his 89th birthday. He was the husband of the late Mary L. (Colangelo) Tray. Son of the late Andrew and Millie (Nazzaro) Tray, he was born in Boston and raised in East Boston. He was a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of World War II. Mr. Tray was a resident of Stoughton since 1950. Tom was a television repairman for Admiral T.V. in Medford and then on his own, working for 25 years until his retirement at age 57. An avid Boston sports fan, he also enjoyed trips to Raynham Park and listening to music, especially Frank Sinatra.
Mr. Tray is survived by his sons, Thomas A. Tray, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Williamsburg, VA and Paul Tray and his wife Gail of Brockton. He was the grandfather of Nathaniel Davenport and David Tray and the great-grandfather of Ethan and Jarrod Davenport. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, September 29 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:00 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
