Thomas M. Travers

Thomas M. Travers, 62, a resident of Norton, died unexpectedly at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence on Monday, September 6. Son of the late Hubert C. and Katherine L. (Kiely) Travers, he was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. Mr. Travers was a graduate of Boston English High School, Class of 1965 and Boston State College, Class of 1970. He was a resident of Norton for 7 years after living in Canton for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Travers was a supervisor at CVS in Franklin for many years. An avid golfer, he was also a member of the Boylston Schul-Verein German American Club in Walpole.
Mr. Travers is survived by his siblings, Hubert C. Travers, Jr. and his wife Susanne and Joseph P. Travers and his wife Leanne all of Marshfield, Margaret A. Sullivan and her husband Gerald of Canton and Richard J. Travers and his wife Barbara of Norton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 18 at 2 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 1-2 PM. Burial will be private. Donations in Thomas' name may be made to Armed Forces Foundation, 16 N. Carolina Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20003.
