Thomas J. Sellon, 66, died at Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Thursday, March 29 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Diane M. (Hutchison) Sellon. Born in Boston, he was educated in Charlestown schools. He was a resident of Stoughton for 10 years. Mr. Sellon was a Procedural Clerk in the Probation Dept. at the Suffolk County Court House in Boston for several years. He enjoyed playing the drums and singing. He taught with the Drum & Bugle Corps in Winchester and Revere. He was a member of the Tim Donovan Trio and performed at Clauson's Inn & Golf Resort in Falmouth for many years, as well as other functions in the area.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sellon is survived by his children, Theresa Sellon of Everett, Thomas Sellon of Somerville and Lisa M. Martin of Carver as well as his grandchildren, Lauren, Dylan and Daniele Martin. He is also survived by his siblings, John Sellon of Malden, Barbara Sellon and Jane Sellon both of Melrose. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry A. and Nora (McLaughlin) Sellon and his sister, Mary Lou Sellon.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, April 3 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy. Donations in Thomas' name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
