Thomas E. Lunney

Thomas E. Lunney, 62, died on Saturday, December 5 at his brother's home in Sharon surrounded by his family, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Dee Lunney. Son of the late Joseph H. and Ethel T. (Corndell) Lunney, he was born in Cambridge, educated in Boston schools and graduated from Boston Trade School. He was a resident of Buzzards Bay for 1 year after living in Indiana for 2 years and Florida for many years. Mr. Lunney was a glazer for Harmond Glass in both Florida, where he worked mostly at Disney World and Indiana for many years before retiring 1 year ago. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mr. Lunney is survived by his children, Michael T. Lunney and his wife Amy of Falmouth and Christine R. Lunney of Buzzards Bay; his grandchildren, Andrew and Carmella and his brothers, Joseph Lunney and his wife Cathy of MD and Daniel Lunney and his wife Rose of Sharon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 59 Cottage St., Sharon on Wednesday, December 9 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday 4-7 PM. Donations in Thomas' name may be made to Caritas Hospice, 3 Edgewater Dr., Norwood, MA 02062.
