Thomas P. Lloyd, Jr.

Thomas P. Lloyd, Jr., 82, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, unexpectedly at his home in Stoughton. Born in Miami, FL, son of the late Thomas P. Lloyd, Sr. and Madge Baddier (Farah) Lloyd, he was raised in Roxbury and was a graduate of Boston English High School. Thomas was a resident of Stoughton since 2012, previously spending over 50 years in Sharon. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam era and after his Honorable Discharge, he returned home to the Boston area. He worked as an Electrical Mechanical Technician at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge for over 27 years. Previously, he worked for Lincoln Labs and Plasma Fusion Center, both in Cambridge for many years and retired in 2003. Thomas was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing in Falmouth, Sandwich and along the Cape Cod Canal as well as in Florida. He enjoyed walking, skiing and was an accomplished photographer. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and visiting cousins in Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Thomas was the brother of Weldon S. Lloyd of Sharon, Joyce J. Lloyd of Randolph, Sandra S. Alkins of Sharon and Vaughn I. Lloyd of Halifax. He was the beloved Papa of Fayth and Kane Zablocki and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Friday January 26th from 11AM-12PM, with a Funeral Service at 12 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
