Thomas P. Halloran, 96, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Brockton Hospital in Brockton. Born and raised in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1938. He worked at Shawmut Woolen Mills in Stoughton as a Knitter for many years and also worked at Garland Mills. For many years he worked in the sporting goods industry at Stoughton Sporting Goods and later at Marciano Sporting Goods in Mansfield. Tom was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and was a longtime season ticket holder. For the past 26 years, he attended Red Sox Spring Training in Florida. He was a lover of all sports, especially baseball, and was a longtime coach for Stoughton Legion baseball and also coached softball. Tom was a longtime usher at the Immaculate Conception Church. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his sister Barbara A. Simms and husband Ted of Stoughton .In addition he was the brother of the late Margaret McCormick, John J. Halloran, Jr. and his sister Mary "Shrimpy" Kelleher, who died Saturday, Oct. 24. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews .

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in his memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284-9168.
