Thomas M. Garrigan, 63, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was the husband of 35 years of Janice K. (King) Garrigan. Born raised and educated in Dorchester, he was a graduate of Dorchester High School. He also was a graduate of Wentworth Institute. Mr. Garrigan was a resident of Stoughton for over 34 years before moving to Plymouth one year ago. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Garrigan worked as a carpenter at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for over 31 years, retiring in 2009. He was a longtime member of the Port Norfolk Yacht Club in Dorchester. In his free time, he enjoyed offshore saltwater fishing and spending time with his family, friends and his beloved Yellow Lab "Harley"
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Joanna Garrigan of S. Boston and Matthew P. Garrigan of Las Vegas. He was the brother of Robert Garrigan of Gloucester, Leo Garrigan of Millis and Paul Garrigan of FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, December 23, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday, December 22, from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Manomet Cemetery, Plymouth. Donations in Tom's name may be made to Operation Delta Dog, P.O. Box 121, Chelmsford, MA 01824
