Thomas F. Gallagher, 60, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston on Thursday, July 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Virginia M. (Silk) Gallagher for 38 years. Son of the late Thomas F. Gallagher, Jr. and Shirley L. (Rowe) Gallagher, he was born in Dorchester and raised in Jamaica Plain. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1981. Tom was a development test analyst at General Electric in Lynn for 40 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Michael B. Gallagher and his wife Heather of Methuen, Brian P. Gallagher of Stoughton and Lauren K. Gallagher of Easton, as well as his grandchildren, Gracie and Brayden Gallagher. He was the brother of Maureen Gallagher, Francis Gallagher and Diane Gallagher all of Stoughton, Michael Gallagher and Lynne Donoghue both of Braintree, Eleana Gallagher of Centerville and the late Kevin Gallagher. He was brother in-law of Michael and Jean Silk of Hyde Park. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly as well as his dear friends, Jamie Kelly and Paul Connelly.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, July 17 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 9:30-11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
