Thomas P. Foxx, 78, died Wednesday, December 28, at the Norwood Hospital after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Lorraine (Smigliani) Foxx. Born and raised in Boston, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Foxx was a resident of Foxboro for the past 8 years, previously living in Stoughton for over 46 years. He worked for Modern Continental with Local Union 4, International Union of Operating Engineers, for many years. He retired several years ago. He was a member of Sharon Country Club and the Elks in Westwood. While living in Stoughton, he was an active member of Stoughton Youth Sports, serving as a coach with Stoughton Little League and Stoyac Basketball. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, gardening and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons; Thomas P. Foxx and his wife Kristen of Dedham, William R. Foxx and his wife Jeannine of NY and Brian M. Foxx and his wife Tara of Easton. He was the grandfather of Cassie, Billy, Erin, Kyle and Megan Foxx. He is also survived by his brother of James F. Foxx of Foxboro.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Church St., Foxboro at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 9 Erin Dr., Suite 101, Natick, MA 01760.
