Thomas Carl Barrett

Thomas Carl Barrett, 82, a resident of Northridge, CA, formerly of Stoughton, died peacefully in Northridge on Monday, July 24, 2017. He was the husband of Judith A. (Raymond) Barrett. Born in Stoughton, he was raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1953. Tom was a resident of Northridge for the past 4 years. He was a truck driver for many years with Zayre Corporation in Mansfield and Polillio Garden Center in Stoughton before retiring several years ago. He also served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 22 years before retiring in 1974. He enjoyed coaching many youth sports in Stoughton.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, John B. Barrett and his wife Barbara of Boynton Beach, FL, James H. Barrett and his wife Dawn of Parkland, FL, Johnna Barrett Lazicki and her husband David of Simi Valley, CA and Janell Barrett Jones and her husband James of Northridge, CA. He was the grandfather of Zachary Barrett Quinones of Northridge, CA, Justin Barrett of Melbourne, FL, Darby Barrett of Chapel Hill, NC, Jenah and Bellah Lazicki both of Simi Valley, CA and Sophie Jones of Northridge, CA. He was the brother of Lawrence Barrett and his wife Corinne of Falmouth and the late James and Robert Barrett and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 16 from 10-11 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Dry Pond Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to STOYAC, PO Box 44, Stoughton, MA 02072.
