Theresa M. (Angelos) Leonard, 69, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, August 13. She was the wife of Roy F. Leonard. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1957 where she was a member of the Cheerleading team. After raising her children she returned to school and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Bridgewater State College in 1987. Mrs. Leonard was a school teacher at Stoughton High School for 16 years before retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Mass. Teachers Association. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren, education and research, playing cards, shopping, traveling and going out with her friends.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Leonard is survived by her children, James M. Leonard and his wife Melissa of Stoughton, Donna Holt and her husband Richard of Middleboro and Richard Leonard and his wife Joan of Taunton as well as her grandchildren, Elizebath, Nathan, Madison, Adam, Olivia, Erica and Brian. She was the sister of William Angelos of Stoughton, Patricia Marotta of Middleboro and Ted Angelos of Falmouth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marrilou Leonard and her parents, Theodore and Mary (DiGangi) Angelos.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 17 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Theresa's name may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
