Teresa M. Leahy, 71, died Friday, February 14, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and a graduate of St. Mary's School and Stoughton High School. She also attended North Adams State College. Ms. Leahy was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. She worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as a Registered Insurance Agent for many years. She retired several years ago. She was a member of Minerva Lodge in Stoughton. She was an avid sports fan and was a fan of Womens College Basketball. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and was famous for her "Rum Balls" at Christmastime.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent C. and Katherine B. (Ruggiero) Leahy and is also survived by several cousins.
