Stephen A. Bonarrigo, 86, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Kindred Hospital in Stoughton. He was the husband of Iola I. (Feroli) Bonarrigo. Born in Hyde Park, he was raised there and was a graduate of Hyde Park Schools. Mr. Bonarrigo was a WWII Veteran of the US Army. While in the army, he acquired the skills of a draftsman by drawing maps from aerial photos. These skills led him to his longtime profession as a Design Draftsman for Charles Draper Labs in Cambridge. He worked for Draper for over 24 years, retiring in 1986. While at Draper Labs, he worked on numerous projects including the Apollo Space Program and the design of the Trident Missle. In his free time, Mr. Bonnarigo enjoyed fishing, bowling and dancing.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Iola I. (Feroli) Bonarrigo, he is survived by his children, Stephen A. Bonarrigo Jr. of Stoughton, Robert G. Bonarrigo of Raynham and Carolyn A. Tapp of Bridgewater. He was the brother of Mary Jaros of Braintree, Joseph Bonarrigo of Randolph, Stella MacBeth of Stoneham and the late Elizabeth Hutchinson, Cosma Hutchinson, Catherine Docherty, Leo Bonarrigo, Samuel Bonarrigo and Frank Bonarrigo. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, September 17 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
