Staton Byron Patterson, 56, died on Sunday, January 13, 2019. Beloved son of Georgianne and Floyd Patterson, born on August 20, 1962 in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his high school diploma from Boston English High School, class of 1981. He has been a lifelong partner to Sonia Lynch for 33 years and raised their only son Rasharn and their grandson Sharnee.
Staton fondly known by friends and family as "Steakum" or "Steak and Cheese", had a passion for all things sports and was truly a fanatic for the Boston Celtics, the New York Yankees, and the Steelers. He also love to fish. Staton would rent boats and go fishing down the Cape for hours. His latest past time was sitting in front of his favorite service center in Randolph. He would talk for hours with Eli and the customers. He was also an avid music lover and a collector of sneakers, sport jerseys and fitted hats. Staton was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Staton truly had a heart of gold, if you knew him, you had a friend for life. His presence was big, but his heart was even bigger!
Staton leaves, to cherish his memories, his mother Georgianne (Henson) Patterson, of Roxbury, MA, his lifelong partner Sonia Lynch of Stoughton, MA, his son Rasharn Lynch of Taunton, MA, his grandson Sharnee Lynch, his sister Crystal Patterson of Roxbury, MA, his brother Floyd Patterson, of Dorchester, MA, his Aunt Evaline Henson-Jackson of Stoughton, MA, his uncles James Henson of Fayetteville, NC, David Henson of Brockton, MA and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and host of friends. Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton, on Sunday, January 20 at 4 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the services on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
