Stasia L. (Rogodzinski) Uminski, 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater on Sunday, January 12. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Uminski. Born in Norton, she was raised in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1947. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1956. Mrs. Uminski was a homemaker. She was active at St. James Church in Stoughton and enjoyed dancing, gardening and knitting.
Mrs. Uminski is survived by her children, Charles F. Uminski and his wife Teresa of Stoughton, Michael P. Uminski of Waldoboro, ME and Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Gilroy and her husband Stephen of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Jennifer Jardin, Brian Uminski, Cailin Nelson, Jake Uminski, Mikala Gilroy, Stephen Gilroy, Jr. and the late Chase Uminski. She was the great-grandmother of Dylan and Mackenzie Nelson and William Jardin. She was the sister of the late Adam Rogodzinski and Jennie Dlugokecki. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Donna Uminski and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, January 18 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Stasia's memory may be made to the Mass.
