Stanley O. Young, 95, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Friday, October 31, 2014, at the LifeCare Center of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 69 years of Margaret G. (Deady) Young. Born and raised in Rockland, he was a graduate of Rockland High School, Class of 1937. Mr. Young was a WWII Veteran of the Army Air Corps. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Carpenter's Local 40 in Boston for many years, retiring 30 years ago. He was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Roger W. Young and his wife Donna of Charlestown and his daughter, Janet M. Young of Stoughton. He was the grandfather of Christine Young. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in his memory may be made to the Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368.
