Solanges Marie-Lourdes Nau

Solanges Marie-Lourdes Nau, 84, died Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, daughter of the late Abel and Lelia (Faustin) Nau, she was raised and educated in Port-au-Prince. She attended Nursing School in Montreal, Canada and moved to the US in 1965 and settled in Boston in 1966. She continued her studies at Boston State College and at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, both in Boston. She was a resident of Easton for 19 years, previously living in Dorchester for many years. Solanges worked for several area nursing homes and rehabilitation hospitals in the area for many years, retiring several years ago. She loved music and was known for her delicious Haitian dishes. Solanges was a warm, kind-hearted woman who always encouraged those around her to be their best. She was welcoming, selfless and loving and will be missed by all.

Solanges is survived by her son, Steven Joubert and his wife Patricia Joubert of RI, and her daughter Myra Edmond Pierre and her husband Patrick of Easton. She was the beloved Grandma of Evamarie Joubert and the former mother-in-law of Marie-Josée Joubert. Solanges is the sister of Jean-Claude Nau of Dorchester, Marie-Flore Nau of NY and the late Jacqueline Nau, Gessy Nau and Yves Nau, Sr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday Morning, March 23, 2024 from 8-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, Randolph. Donations in Solange’s memory may be made to the MGH Brigham Cancer Research Center, 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114.
