Silvina (Madalena) DeAndrade, 90, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of 60 years of the late Domingos DeAndrade. Daughter of the late Joo daSilva Madalena and Amalia Rodrigues Dovale Madalena, she was born and raised in Madeira, Portugal. She resided in Stoughton for 49 years. Mrs. DeAndrade was a stitcher at Davis Clothing Company in Brockton for 25 years before retiring 25 years ago. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime and active communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and taught CCD many years ago. She enjoyed needlepoint, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. DeAndrade is survived by her son, John E. DeAndrade and his wife Patricia of Stoughton and her grandchildren, Breanna Moore, Amy DeAndrade and Lucas DeAndrade. She was the sister of Jose daSilva Madalena, Rosa daSilva Madalena Cabral and Adelaide daSilva Madalena Perdigao all of Portugal and the late Sister Guilhermina daSilva Madalena, Leontina daSilva Madalena, Maria daSilva Madalena, Joo daSilva Madalena and Agostinho daSilva Madalena. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, April 11 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
