Shirley E. (Bissonnette) Morrissette

Shirley E. (Bissonnette) Morrissette, 91, a resident of Stoughton, died at the Copley at Stoughton on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Morrissette. Born in Hartford, CT, she was a longtime resident of Norwich, CT, before moving to Stoughton over 10 years ago. Shirley was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Norwich Free Academy. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Morrissette is survived by her children, Ashley L. Morrissette of Buckhannon, West Virginia, Shirlee L. Laskarzewski of Plainville, CT, James J. Morrissette of Charlottesville, VA and Giselle M. "Gigi" Cox of Brockton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 12 Hunters Ave., Taftville, CT, on Monday, January 4 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
