Sharyn L. Corkum, 58, died at home on Saturday Night, January 6, under the care of Old Colony Hospice. She was the wife of Alan "Butch" Corkum. Born in Stoughton, she was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton Schools, Class of 1967. She also attended Brockton Beauty Academy. Mrs. Corkum worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Gulf Division of Cumberland Farms in Canton for the last 10 years. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her husband, she was survived by her children, Timothy A. Corkum and his wife Christine of W. Bridgewater and Wade E. Corkum and his wife Tina of Canton. She was the sister of Carol MacNeil, Robert Fisher and Darlene Weaver all of Stoughton and the late Ethel McFadyen and Walter Fisher, Jr. Mrs. Corkum also leaves her stepsons Robert Mitchell of Maine and Kevin Mercer of FL. She was the grandmother of Caitlin and Cody Corkum. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and her Godson Michael McFadyen and dear family friend Pamela Parker.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 10 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Donations in Sharyn's name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368. Burial will be private.
