Sandra G. (Scaff) Ryan

Sandra G. (Scaff) Ryan, 64, died Thursday, August 8, 2024, at her home in Taunton after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a degenerative neurological disease. She was the wife of Thomas P. Ryan. Born, raised and educated in Elizabeth City, NC, daughter of the late Hillary and Margaret (Symmons) Scaff, she was a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Class of 1983. Sandy worked in Medical Sales and Training for many years, at several different companies, including Instrument Labs in Waltham and the Olympus Inc. in Lake Success, NY. She retired in 2021. Sandy and Tom were winter residents of Hillsboro Beach, FL for several years. Sandy was an avid cook and enjoyed to entertaining her family and friends at her home.  Sandy loved hosting Christmas and looked forward to her Superbowl Party every year. She also enjoyed running and exercising and competed in several Falmouth Road Races, 10Ks and 5Ks in the area. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends and her family. 

In addition to her husband Tom, she is survived by her stepsons, Christopher T. Ryan and his wife Kristen and Matthew J. Ryan and his wife Deb. Sandy was the sister of David H. Scaff of FL and Derek Scaff of NC. She is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10 AM-12 PM with Funeral Prayers at 12 PM. Donations in Sandy’s name may be made to Cure PSP, 325 Hudson Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10013 or to www.psp.org/ways-to-give
