Salvatore J. Masiello, 82, a longtime resident of Brockton, died Sunday, May 30, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of 58 years of Anita F. (Serio) Masiello. Born in Boston, he was raised in the North End and was educated in Boston Schools. Mr. Masiello worked as a Sales Rep for Hendries Frozen Foods in Milton for over 25 years, before retiring at age 61. In his free time he enjoyed shopping in the Providence Markets, cooking and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James M. Masiello and his wife Michelle of Marlboro, Eve Masiello and her husband Thomas Cunningham of Pembroke, Paul Masiello and his wife Karen of Brockton and Michael Masiello of Brockton. He was the brother of the late Pasquale Masiello and Pauline DiMasi. He was the grandfather of Alyssa, Amanda, Paul and Nicole Masiello, and Nicholas and Anjelica Cunningham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 3 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Donations in Salvatore's memory may be made to the Norfolk Cancer Center, 1073 Pleasant St., Brockton, MA 02301.
