Saletta M. “Sally” (Morganelli) Diesso, 97, a longtime resident of Sharon, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Nicholas G. Diesso and daughter of the late Donato “Daniel” and Pasqualena (Morganella) Morganelli. Sally was born in Boston and brought up in Roxbury. A few years after they wed, she and her husband moved to Sharon and bought a home to raise their growing family. Sally was a wonderful homemaker and stay at home mom. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Sally is survived by her children, Michael Diesso and his wife Cheryl of Englewood, FL, Linda Damon of Franklin, Steven Diesso and his wife Jackie of Sharon and Robert Diesso and his wife Cathy of Wrentham. She was the beloved grandmother of Caren Lucarelli, Tammy Leeman, Kimberly Blenkhorn, Stephanie Lindsay, Nicole Diesso, John Diesso, Ashley Diesso, Kaitlyn Diesso, Paul Cavacas and Christopher Cavacas. She was the sister of Josephine Petillo of Lynnfield, George Morganelli of Burlington, Lena Marino of Easton and the late Nicholas Morganelli and Daniel Morganelli. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 24 from 9-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. Floral tributes are welcome or donations in Saletta’s memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
