Ruth H. Farino

Ruth H. (Backlund) Farino, 86, a longtime resident of Randolph, died at Milton Hospital on Thursday, August 4. She was the wife of the late Rocco Farino and Stanley A. Pigulski. Born and educated in Boston, she was a graduate of South Boston High School. She also attended college in Oklahoma. Mrs. Farino was a resident of Randolph for over 30 years. She was a Yeoman 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of World War II. Mrs. Farino was a secretary for Dr. Krisiukenis in S. Boston for 15 years before retiring 30 years ago. She enjoyed reading and listening to talk radio.

Mrs. Farino is survived by her son, Thomas E. Pigulski and his wife Catherine of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Tammi-Anne Baer and Christopher T. Pigulski and her great-granddaughter, Charlize Baer. She was the sister of Jane Norris of Brockton and the late Muriel Young, Vera Gudinas, Mary Sherwood and Fedora Cranopoulos. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, August 23 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 5-7 PM. Burial will be private. Donations in Ruth?s memory may be sent to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
