Rosemary C. (Christiano) Wier, 93, a longtime resident of West Wareham, died peacefully at Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bourne on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Wier and Paul D. Ellis. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Beck) Christiano, she was born and raised in West Orange, NJ and graduated from West Orange High School. Rosemary was a resident of Stoughton for 25 years before moving to West Wareham 40 years ago. She was a salesperson at Jordan Marsh in Boston for 30 years before retiring many years ago. She was an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed working in her yard.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Rosemary Woodbury of Foxboro and her late husband Chuck and Paul J. Ellis and his wife Maureen of Stoughton. She was the step-mother of Barbara Goba and Sister Mary Emmanuel of Mercy. She was the grandmother of Sammi Hutchison and her husband Rick, Rick Ellis and his wife Anne, Paul McGrath and his wife Jane, Scott Goba and Greg Goba. She was the great-grandmother of Kristi, Alicia and Alana Hutchison, Michael and Melanie Ellis, Colin and Sarah McGrath and Skye, Savannah and Lillyanna Goba. She was the sister of Eleanor Chiarella of West Orange, NJ and is also survived by her special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, August 5 at 1:30 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery, Stoughton.
