Rosemary T. (Donovan) Gagnon, 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on Thursday, February 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Carroll R. Gagnon for 65 years. Daughter of the late John A. and Mary (Reidy) Donovan, she was born in Hyde Park and raised in Jamaica Plain. Rosemary was a Class of 1952 graduate of Nazareth High School in South Boston. She resided in Stoughton since 1970 and was a homemaker at home with her family.
In addition to her husband, Rosemary is survived by her children, Darren J. Gagnon and his wife Debra of Carver, Rosemary C. Gagnon-Damata and her husband Richard of Milton, Stephen A. Gagnon and his wife Karen of Avon, Jean-Marie F. Kelley and her husband Richard and Cheryl A. McFaun and her husband James all of Norton and Brendan J. Gagnon of Easton, as well as her grandchildren, Eileen Baldasarre, Matthew Kelley, Joseph Kelley, Christopher McFaun, Alexander McFaun, Julia McFaun and Isabella Gagnon. She was the sister of Alice Owen of Steep Falls, ME, Nancy Elliott of West Roxbury, Patricia Cadegan of Merrimack, NH, Judith Nee of Norwood, Joyce Choate of Biloxi, MS and the late John Donovan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Monday, February 26 at 10:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, Avon at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at St. Michael Cemetery, Avon. Donations in Rosemary's memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 275 W. Broadway, Boston, MA 02127.
