Rose J. Keough

Rose Jean (Croce) Keough, age 86, died peacefully at the LifeCare Center in West Bridgewater on August 29th, after a long, valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Brockton, she was educated in Brockton schools, and graduated from Brockton High School in 1938 with highest honors. Mrs. Keough worked at Edgar's Department Store, Breen's Catering, The Hotel Bryant, Mr. Z's Catering, and Caggianno Home Improvement. In 1957, she co-founded Rosebud Catering. In 1964, she founded Rose Keough Catering. Mrs. Keough was a member of the Quota Club in the 1970's and 1980's, serving as a two-term president. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Brockton Day Nursery. She enjoyed politics, music, theater, dancing, travel, card club, gardening, and entertaining friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter Maurene Keough of Dover, NH and her son Raymond Keough of Boston, MA and her sister Terese A. Meaney of Brockton and Rev. Albert A. Croce, CSC, of North Dartmouth, MA, plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. Keough; her sisters Olga (Croce) Barile and Dahlia Estelle (Croce) Perrotta, and her brothers Angelo "Vic" Croce, John Croce, and Edmund Croce. She was the daughter of the late Amato V. Croce and Maria Vincenza Croce of Brockton.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, September 1 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will be at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
