Rose T. (Benda) Heroux, 90, died Monday, February 18, 2013, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Heroux. Born in Hopedale, she was raised in Roxbury and attended Girls High in Roxbury. She was a longtime resident of Hyde Park. She was a homemaker. An avid reader, in her free time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, watching movies and traveling to Twin River and Foxwoods.
She is survived by her children, Charles A. Heroux and his loving companion Mary Pagliuca of Stoneham, Stephen P. Heroux and his wife Janet of Quincy and Denise McShane and her husband Paul of Stoughton. She was the beloved grandmother of Stephen C. Heroux, Vanessa Leesam and Cassandra M. Heroux. She was the sister of the late Charles, Henry and John Benda and Angie Caruso. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
