Rose K. (Brauneis) Bindbeutel, 86, died unexpectedly at home in Canton on Sunday, January 19. She was the wife of the late Henry F. Bindbeutel. Born in Roslindale, she was a graduate of Boston schools and MDMH School of Practical Nursing. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 60 years before living in Canton in recent years. Mrs. Bindbeutel was a nurse for 30 years before being a crossing guard in Stoughton for 16 years. She was a member of the Amvets in Stoughton. She enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting, crocheting and sewing.
Mrs. Bindbeutel is survived by her children, Henry F. Bindbeutel, Jr. and his wife Linda and Roseanne M. Bindbeutel and her companion Larry Mann all of Maine, Karen L. Thomas and her husband Paul of East Bridgewater, John M. Bindbeutel and his wife Winnie of Pembroke and Christine Aufiero and her husband Larry of Watertown. She was the grandmother of Jesse, Henry, Daryl, Jonathan, Ariana, Halle and Katherine. She was the sister of the late John and William Brauneis and Helen Winget. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be private. Visiting Hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 22 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
