Rose M. (Parker) Baker, 77, died at Mass. General Hospital in Boston on Friday, December 14. Born and raised in Foxboro, she was a resident of Stoughton for the past 9 years after living in Easton for many years. Mrs. Baker was a receptionist at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Welfare Dept. in Brockton for many years before retiring in 1998. She was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 32 years. In her free time she enjoyed country and western music, playing cards, crocheting, painting and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her children, Alan J. Baker of Pepperell, William J. Baker of W. Yarmouth, Cynthia M. Baker of Stoughton and Pamela Baker of TN, as well as her grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, Kimberly, Shawn, David, Thomas, William, Jr., Jennifer, Brian and Caci Baker, Michelle Hires, Amanda Bailey and Dean Bailey and her great-grandchild Kayden Baker. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward S. Baker. She was the sister of Cora, Harry, Bill, Ralph, Lilian, Betty, Hazel and the late May, Bobby and James. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 17 from 5-8 PM. Funeral Service private. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to Mass. General Hospital, 32 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
