Rosanne (Tobin) Baptista, 70, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was the wife of Donald T. Baptista for 46 years. Daughter of the late Richard L. and Rose F. (Fustolo) Tobin, she was born in Brockton. Rosanne was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Class of 1969 and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Northeastern University. She was a registered nurse at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton and Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, finishing her career as the nurse in charge of quality care before retiring in 2012.
Rosanne was the mother of Jovanna R. Baptista and her husband Michael Glidden of West Roxbury, Joshua R. Baptista and his fiancé Shannon Lecorre of Providence, RI and the late Jenni E. Baptista. She was the grandmother of Eleanor, Isabella and Killian. She was the sister of Maureen C. Rooslet and Patricia A. Olsen both of Norton, Kathleen M. Austin of Stoughton, Marianne DiMatteo of Chelmsford, Corinne R. Whittington of Plymouth and Francine R. Leppo of Easton. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Danny Baptista of Dartmouth, her sister-in-law Beverly Bajerskl, her aunt, Lena Capozzoli and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 1 from 9-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosanne's memory may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital (for cancer research), 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101.
