Rosalie N. (Turell) Tarchara, 78, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton after a long illness. She was the wife of 54 years of Robert J. Tarchara. Born in Brockton, she was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. She was also a graduate of Boston University. Mrs. Tarchara worked as a Music Teacher in Stoughton Schools for over 30 years, retiring 15 years ago. She also worked as a Piano Teacher at her son's music store, Stoughton Music Center, for many years. Rosalie also worked as the music director at Our Lady of the Rosary in Stoughton and Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon for many years. She was an avid fan of the Boston Pops, Tanglewood and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She enjoyed taking pictures whenever she could and loved painting and spending time with her grandkids.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Carol A. Perkins and her husband John E. of Attleboro, Robert T. Tarchara and his wife Alina of Canton and James R. Tarchara and his wife Susan of Stoughton. She was the beloved grandmother of Amanda, Ashley, Danielle and Jimmy Tarchara and Derek W. Perkins. She was the sister of Mary Hargreaves of ME, Walter Turell of Middleboro and the late Theodore Turell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepuchlre Cemetery, Stoughton.
