Rosa M. (Dias) Sousa, 59, died unexpectedly Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of the late Jose B. Sousa. Born and raised on the island of Faial, Portugal, she came to the United States as a young woman and settled in Stoughton. She worked as a cashier and clerk at several area Dunkin' Donuts for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, walking, traveling to Foxwoods and cooking. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and extended family.
Rosa is survived by her children; Steven J. Sousa and his wife Hana Sadi of Quincy and Jessica M. Patrone and her husband Yorkin of Attleboro. She was the grandmother of Lorenzo J. Patrone and the sister of Tony Dias of Stoughton, Ana Silveira of New Bedford, Lee Neves of Mendon and Maria Silva of NH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, April 20 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, April 19, from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
