Ronald E. Piazza, 75, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at the BayPointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a short period of failing health. He was the husband of 53 years of Helen M. (Miranda) Piazza. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Roslindale and attended Roslindale Schools. Mr. Piazza was a resident of Stoughton for 15 years, previously living in Holbrook for several years. He worked as a contractor and was the owner of Columbus Builders for over 35 years. He retired 5 years ago. Mr. Piazza was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Randolph and Roslindale and was a member of the 4th degree Knights. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing tomatoes and peppers. In his free time, he enjoyed snowmobiling and playing poker.
He is survived by his four daughters, Maria A. Eugley of Brockton, Laura A. Franklin of Randolph, Helenmarie Gorman of Avon and Rhonda L. Watts of SC. He was the brother of Elaine Piazza of Brockton, Raymond Piazza of Canton and the late Ettore Piazza. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Entombment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
